CFO.Technology - The CFO Roundtable - 16 April 2026 : Renous | Gurugram

Early AI Decisions: What CFOs Would Reconsider
Over the past few years, artificial intelligence has moved rapidly from experimentation to expectation. Many organizations began their AI journeys amid significant uncertainty — limited benchmarks, evolving governance frameworks, and unclear ownership across technology, finance, and business functions.
As a result, many early decisions were made under pressure: when to invest, where to experiment, how much control to retain, and how quickly to scale.
With a few years of experience now behind us, CFOs are increasingly reflecting on these choices with the benefit of hindsight.
This closed-door CFO roundtable is designed as a peer dialogue rather than a presentation.
There are no keynote speeches.
There are no slide decks.
Instead, each participant will briefly reflect on:
- Early AI-related investment decisions that look different in hindsight
- Where sequencing of experimentation and scale could have been more deliberate
- The role finance played in shaping governance, controls, and risk management
- Trade-offs between speed of adoption and financial discipline
- What CFOs would approach differently if starting their AI journey today
The focus is on judgement, reflection, and practical experience — not theory.
In a private and respectful setting, CFOs will exchange perspectives on how finance leadership is evolving as AI becomes embedded across operations, products, and decision-making.
The objective is simple:
To create a room where finance leaders reflect candidly on early AI decisions, challenge assumptions, and leave with sharper perspective for the next phase of adoption.
Limited seats.
CFO-level participation only.
