We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Payroll & Compliance Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing and ensure strict adherence to statutory and regulatory HR compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will ensure timely salary disbursement, manage benefits and deductions, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to uphold payroll integrity and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing
- Manage monthly payroll for all employees (onsite and remote) ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain and update payroll data including new hires, exits, variable pay, and deductions
- Coordinate with finance for disbursal, reconciliations, and audit requirements
- Handle full and final settlements for exiting employees
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws (e.g., EPF, ESIC, PT, Gratuity, LWF)
- Prepare and file statutory returns and reports (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.) on time
- Coordinate with consultants, auditors, and government departments as required
- Maintain updated knowledge on changes in labor laws and HR regulations
Audit & Reporting
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
- Prepare monthly payroll MIS and dashboards
- Support internal/external audits by providing required data and explanations
- Assist in risk assessments and ensure internal control processes are followed
Employee Support
- Respond to employee queries regarding payroll, tax declarations, and statutory deductions
- Provide payslips, Form 16, and tax documentation support

Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–9 years of experience in payroll and statutory compliance
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and payroll systems
- Hands-on experience with payroll software (e.g., GreytHR, Zoho, SAP, ADP)
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential data

Nice to Have
- Experience in HR Shared Services or BPO/KPO environment
- Certifications in payroll management or labor laws (preferred but not mandatory)
